Folders

Folders are organised under 'My Drive', under which you will likely already have two sub-folders called 'Public' and 'Back up'.

Under 'Public' you will automatically receive a list of publically owned datasets which you can use for your own testing purposes. Under 'Back up' any dashboards recently viewed will create copies in this directory which you can retrieve.

To create new sub folders under 'My Drive' simply right-click on the folder and you will be given the option to create a 'New Sub-Directory'.

You can also drag items in your Organiser to the appropriate folder by dragging the Type icon in the folder view.

Other standard folders that exist at the same level as 'My Folders / My Drive' are 'Received Datasets' and 'Receieved Dashboards' - these are where shared datasets/dashboards from other users will appear.

There is also a 'Trash' directory where deleted items go and can be retrieved from.

File types

There are several 'File Types' that you can select to View in each folder, each with it's own icon.

The primary two types are 'Dataset' and 'Dashboard' which are self explanatory.

The 'Script' and 'SqlScript' are used both in Data Workshop (every Data Workshop operation will create a 'Script') or directly in the Data Science Scripting interface.

'Model's are created every time a machine learning algorithm creates a new model under your account, this can be whilst in Scripting or in a Dashboard.

'Metatemplate's are optionally created everytime a file or SFTP Upload occurs to create a new Dataset, they store column validation information so that subsequent imports can run a lot quicker.

There are also 'Image' and 'Video' types which can be used to help construct dashboard infographics.

Detail view

By clicking on an item in the Organiser a right-hand side panel opens up with some basic additional information about the item.

On some file types such as a 'Dataset' there is even more additional information available by clicking a 'More' button on the bottom right-hand side of the panel.

Additional information includes, On 'Dataset' types you can view sample data and statitics for each column, on 'Model' types you can view input/output columns as well as performance metrics and 'Script' types you can view the underlying code.

Exports

As long as you have something greater than a Viewer level Subscription you should be able to see links on the Organiser to 'Upload Dataset' or 'Connect to Database' which are the facilities to import a Dataset

Sharing

Dataset and Dashboard file types can be shared with other users or Groups.

In order to start sharing select the Dataset or Dashboard you want to share and click on the drop down arrow at the end of the item dropdown menu, from where you should see the 'Share' option which will open a 'Share/Unshare' modal display.

In the modal first click on the 'Select Access' option so as to select the appropriate sharing access you want your item to have, either 'Edit' or 'Read-only'

Then select from the list below which users or groups you want to add or remove sharing access from/to.
